Biography

The Madaxe Experience started out as a Jazz Saxophone/Guitar duo after Matt Barker and Adrian Redfern met each other at uni, both studying in the Jazz Studies degree in Mackay, QLD. After various local gigs at art exhibitions and fine wine & dining venues they decided to have a crack at bringing their style of music and humour to a more pop orientated audience. It's been both challenging and fun for the duo, trying to combine various styles of music, as both artists have very diverse musical backgrounds, however, they each agree it's an honour and a priveledge to create music that pleases people, regardless of what the genre is called.

Although they're new at this and still getting their act together (looking for a bassist and drummer) they thought it'd be a good idea to get their music out there as is... in the raw, so to speak. It'd be great to finally get The Madaxe Experience into a studio and have their originals recorded properly! Thanks to everybody for supporting them

Love the new tracks, both with an unexpected twist at the end that seems to be one of your characteristics. Lyrics to "Holiday Destination" had a personal resonance with the Kipling short story "Perchance To Dream" figuring in it.

nice vibe.i'm not really into that genre but, would be good to hear whilst getting wasted at a music cafe or something...lol

Very impressive four tracks. You both obviously know your way around a fretboard. Good use of variety in your arrangments and I like the way the lyrics seem effortless and relaxed yet manage to veer off in unexpected directions. The alien abduction theme of "Koo Koo" was hilarious and the street people social comment of "Henry the Snail" most effective. Very keen to hear your first album. If I had a record company you'd be one of my first signings.
